Vargas graduated in food engineering from Mexico ’ s acclaimed Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education ( Monterrey campus ) and afterwards earned his MBA from ADEN Business School . He was hired by Cargill in 1996 as training manager and has also performed in other departments such as purchases , and commercial management , among others . From 2002-2008 he ran his own coffee roasting business .
“ During those six years I was fulfilled with wonderful experiences . The food industry is very promising in Central America ,” Vargas recalled .
